Sweetie Pie's 1st Award

I guess Sweetie Pie won an award today. I wish the school would of called me to let me know she was receiving one, so her daddy and I could of been there. Next time since I will be starting work next week I'll be able to watch. Maybe even next time Rooster will get one. I spoke to another mom she told me that they should be having them every Friday.

I GOT A JOB

Last Wednesday I got a phone call from the lady I have been talking to in regards to Special Needs kids. She said there was a special need kid that just arrived at my kids school and if I would be interested in it. I told her YES. She said she will talk to the teacher in charge of the program and the principal and have them call me back. Minutes later the teacher called me and explained what I will be doing and if I had any question. I told her it would be my first year being a para and I would like to volunteer tomorrow and see what it's all about before I make a decision.
I spent 3 hours with the kiddo and I really enjoyed it. He was deaf, but had a hearing aid. After those hours spent with him and the other kids in the class. I decided I would like to do it, but they will call back with the final decision. Today I received the call that I got it if I want it. The only problem is that they changed my hours. We (me and the kids) will just have to work around them and no more riding the bus.
NOW time for shopping for new clothes. DARN

1st bow hunting weekend with the family

Camo out baby

We had a great time last weekend. Mark went bow hunting again this year and he took the whole family. Rooster wanted to go so bad and he is old enough to go. He didn't complain much and was as quite as a 7 year old could be. He didn't like much about getting up at 5 a.m., but he did it. P.S. Mark won't take him when rifle season hits. He wants him to be older.

We saw a lot of animals opening weekend, but all were to far away with a bow to shoot.
One buck was laying under the trees right off of the road. Not but 50 feet from where someone was camping. Mark scared him to get him away from the campsite. Five to Ten minutes later Mark and the buck found each other looking straight on from 30 yards away. He was wishing and hoping he would turn, but he didn't and Mark took a shoot anyways and missed. The arrow went right between his legs. The feathers tickeled his chest as the arrow went down and he jumped and ran off.
Mark is off all next week maybe he can bring us some meat next time.

Fires from California/Utah/Colorado

This was taken during sunset. These pictures are of the mountains right beside us. We use to see them so well, but with all the fires going on the skies are not so blue and we are unable to see all the mountains that clearly. The news paper said that the smoke from all the fires (expecially in California) should be gone a few days ago. NOPE.
I hope all our families in the LA area are okay.
