DeBeque Wild Horse Days Parade

Getting horses loaded
Rooster loved throwing candy expecially at Julie who wanted to walk.
Sweetie Pie had a arm on her too.
The return
Wow been up since 5:30 a.m. Hubby had to work today. Me and the kids got up early helped a neighbor get her yard sell stuff out of her garage from about 6:30 to 8:00. Then off to DeBeque Wild Horse Days Parade on the Chevron wagon. We had so much fun, but it was a little hot.

First day of school

First day of school. YEAH. We started off last night picking the outfits they wanted to wear. They both wanted to wear what they got from their old babysitter back in California last June. Thanks Stevens family. Sweetie Pie was ready and willing to go, but Rooster same thing crying and hanging onto mommy. It kind of gets old and I do feel sorry for him a bit because it is a new school and he doesn't know his way around. They rode the bus home and Rooster said he stopped crying as soon as I left this morning, but he cried at the bus because he couldn't find Sweetie Pie and he got scared. Oh poor baby he wasn't going to leave without his sister because I told him to make sure Sweetie Pie was on the bus. Well it turned out that she was already on the bus waiting on him. All in all it turned out to be a good day.

Drive to tree stand

Today we took the jeep out to check out Mark's tree stand for bow hunting season starting in 2 weeks. We took advantage of the beautiful day after the rain last night. It was a little cold at 9600 feet with the top of the jeep off, but we were prepared. We didn't see much of any animals because it was to late in the day. But when we were heading down one of the back roads that did get a little tight and step we saw a few elk and deers. I didn't get the camera up fast enough while 1 ran across the road and the other's took off up into the trees.

Rifle Air Show

We went to the Rifle Air Show today. It was soooo cool and free. Which is nice. We had a great time and just enjoy watching the plane's do their thing. They are also going to have it tonight and tomorrow. Wish we could of gone tonight, but we can see a little bit of it out our back windows. As of tomorrow it's up to the mountains we go.

Jamie O'Neal with Joey & Rory Concert

Joey & Rory

I've got to remember not to smile so big!!!

Today we had a great day which continued into the night. We took a drive out to Mark work to find the wild horses, but we didn't see them this time. I did get a picture of a deer with her two babies. I guess we missed seeing the bear with her three babies. DARN!!! We ended the day with free tickets to a concert with Jamie O'Neal with Joey & Rory (they came in 3rd place on CMT'S "Can you Duet". They were really good and entertaining and she was so beautiful. Jamie O'Neal well good thing we didn't have to pay for the tickets. She made the mistake of saying she was at the Mesa County Fair instead of the Garfield Fair. Was there alot of BOOOOO's from the crowd.

Sweetie Pie Mutton Busting

All smiles before anyone rode
Putting helmet on
Helmet off
Done
Well the day went great she was so excited to do the Mutton Busting for the Kids Fair and if she made it on long enough to be in the top 10 then she gets to do it at the Rodeo on Thursday. She didn't make it past putting on the helmet. It really didn't help watching all the kids in front of her crying if they rode the sheep or backing out. Daddy didn't push it and let her slide. That's too bad we were both looking forward to it.

Daniel & Shaina's wedding

The Reception
Jacquie with the boys
Brad with the bride (Shaina)
Shaina and Daniel
The very cute flower girl
The Nunn's
The Walter's family
Well the picture taken didn't turn out like I wanted. The wedding was great it was at a ranch which ended up me knowing the owner who offered me another job driving a bus. I told her I will have to see what happens with the job interview's with Wamsley school first. The kids and I were up till 2 a.m. dancing. At the reception it turned into me being a bad guy for a stupid reason, so I ended up getting dirty looks all night. My camera got put away for the reception and dancing.
