Hubby had to head for Steamboat Springs, Co for ice driving for work. He asked if me and the kids wanted to go. We decided at the last minute on Thursday to go ahead and go. It was about 2 1/2 hours away from Rifle, but such a great drive. We headed there about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boy did we see so many deers and elks through out the mountains (didn't have the camera out at the time). Friday hubby had to go ice driving while me and the kiddo's went running around and swimming in the indoor spa/pool at the hotel. This town is a big skiing place. Almost like Aspen, but with alot nicer people. It was beautiful with snow on roofs 2 to 3 feet high and the roads were cleared, but the side of the roads were almost to the hood of the truck. Friday night when he got back we went downtown and walked the streets and out to dinner to a steak place that you got to pick your own meat and you cook it. The kids got to sit on saddles. Saturday we got up and start headed home with making a few stops on the way home. We saw the Antelope in between Craig and Meeker they were crossing the road. We have seen deer, elks, moose, but this is the first time in 1 1/2 years that I've seen Antelope.
