Trip to the falls

Playing with the new camera hubby got for me for Christmas. Like I needed a new camera??? I love it though!!! I just got to figure out what all the buttons and lenses are for. The boys went quad riding today while I took the girls to Rifle Falls. It was great no one was there. Here are a few shots of the falls.

Hubby, Sweetie Pie, Rooster and our friends packed up the quad's and decided to go play in the snow. While I wanted to stay and pack up the Christmas stuff. Scott and Hubby had to have a little fun in the trucks first to get the snow down to quad level. The kids had a great time.

Boy this time last year was a experience on Christmas Eve day. We were stuck in the snow for 3 hours. This year was so fun we went sledding for 3 hours with our friends that are visiting from California. We had a great time the weather let up. Even though we expect 9-15 more inches of snow in the next few days. We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and miss and love you all.

Fun in the snow!!

Well since we have gotten about 6 inches of snow these past few days. Scott took his family to see the sights while me and the kiddos took advantage of the amount of snow that hit. We went to a place down the street to sled and had a good time till it started to get a little too cold and had to head home. As you can see it has been very popular these past few days because you can see the grass. In our front and back yards there is no green showing. We will go to a different place tomorrow. That's even higher and less people.

Sweetie Pie "Circus Parade"

Sweetie Pie had a Circus Parade for their last day of school before the Christmas Break. It was cute. The kids did like a puppet show with dinosaur's to a song that lasted about 10 minutes. Then they came out from behind the screen in their Circus animal costume's and sang songs that they have leaned over the last few months. The teacher told me that Sweetie Pie was a little nervous about coming out with all the parents and friends that came to see them perform, but she got over it real quick.

Snow here in Beautiful Colorado

Here is a picture of the house I took this morning. We got about 2 inches last night and it is still coming down. It's so beautiful. Don't be jealous. We already had to shovel this morning at 5:30 a.m. and will need to do again soon. Oh my gosh.

Hunt for the perfect Christmas Tree

Well last year we went to the corner parking lot and bought our tree for around $50. This year we decided to go and get a tag for $10 and cut our own in the National Forest. Which is about a 20 minute drive from our house. It really didn't go as we had planned. We were planning on doing it last weekend, but we decided to go this weekend instead. Big mistake. This weekend the kids were sick and 1 foot of snow pushed in overnight and we didn't have chains for hubbies truck. We drove as far as we could go. Then we decided to turn around stop where the National Forest begins and hike up the hill. While me and hubby headed up the hill in about 1 & 1/2 foot of snow (because you had to cut a tree 100 feet off of the road) the two little ones stayed in the warm car. We just choose 1 for us and 1 (charlie brown) tree for Uncle Scott in the trailer. Wish it would of been more of a family adventure. But, at least we know it's going to be a white Christmas for us. With the forecast calling for 4 to 6 inches of snow tonight and snow for the next 7 days. We are all thrilled. From our family to yours we wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Bakersfield, California

Our first stop on our trip to California was to visit friends. After our 13 hour drive to California we checked into our hotel room. Which thanks to our friends was free for our 3 night stay. We saw my parents, sister and her kids for pizza in the room. Saturday was just running around trying to see everyone in the short time we have. Saturday night was just the bomb "WOOLGROWERS" with our closest friends. Sunday was spent visiting with other friends and getting ready for the trip to Riverside in the morning. Boy it was nice seeing everyone. I surprised a few of you and it was great even though we didn't have time to talk. Miss my friends and family. Looking forward to a great Christmas with Scott's family. No one else will brave the snow. Chickens! I don't have any pictures of the few days in Bakersfield I forgot my camera at the hotel. I was just worried about making my rounds and seeing everyone. Needless to say the whole 2600 miles traveled during our week long vacation was well worth every mile.

Riverside, California

During our California stop we went to visit Mark's family. We had a great visit we went to dinner with his parents, brother, his wife and their 1 year old daughter. Wouldn't you know that I forgot my camera in the car, so I didn't get pictures. For the second day of visiting we did a little bit of shopping then off to the Pirate Show in Anaheim, Ca. Didn't get very good pictures of the show because they didn't allow flash. I also forgot to fix the red eye before adding the pictures. It was alot of fun and Rooster had a few chances to be in the show, but he didn't want to.

Thanksgiving in San Luis Obispo, Ca

Boy do I enjoy our family Thanksgiving. I can't remember how many years we have spent the week of Thanksgiving camping with the whole family. I think 20 + years. It was great to see everyone again even though it's only once a year. I know I don't miss California, but I do miss my family alot. Special thanks to Tom the boys love playing with you and to Chole for watching Sweetie Pie. She loved it.

Rooster's 2nd family

We had to stop by Roosters old stomping ground. His babysitter since he was 6 weeks old. Boy does he miss all the girls. They had a great day together with a movie, Chuck e Cheese, and a sleep over.
